Why not relax like Korean and Eat like Korean?
Stressed from your 9am to 5pm work? Or 11pm to 8am shift like me? working on a BPO Industry is somehow tiring, Hitting every night target sales, metrics is so exhausting, but good thing aside from traveling and eating there's other way for us to relax, like getting a massage, detoxifying in a dry sauna is an alternative way for us to recharge, good thing last January 2015 the first time I knew about Lasema when my former boss conduct a management meeting at Lasema, so yeah technically while discussing our goal for the year my boss treated us a massage, how cool was that?
So from that day since I do really enjoy the place and most especially the food I kept on coming back every time I feel so stress, so let me share to you why,. 😊
Lasema Jjim Jil Bang Spa and sauna is open 24 hrs in Malugay, Makati just in front of BIR building and near FEU Makati.
You can stay for up to 12 hrs.
They have cave rooms and recreation area so you could rest, eat, and take a nap.
Wet sauna has a separate room for boys and girls.
the wet sauna- the Jacuzzi has 2 flavors ginseng and green tea , dry sauna (Sorry Can't take pictures inside the wet area, LOl :D
They also have snack bar inside the recreation area and a korean restaurant outside. For me, the food in the Snack Bar are very delicious from Php150 and up and most of the Food are Koran Food like Ramen, Dumplings, etc.
Korean Super Spicy Ramen, Eggs baked at the dome clay sauna! for my Dinner.
Korean Mandu, Baked Egg and my all time favorite Kimchi and Tea for my Breakfast.
At the reception, you’ll be issued a locker key, a uniform set of T-shirt and shorts (pink for females and gray for males), and 2 medium-sized towels.
It’s cool that the key holder is in the form of a wrist watch so you’ll
have less chances of losing it. The P700-fine should be enough
to make you hold on to your key.
The same key holder will serve as your
mode of payment when buying food inside.
They’ll punch in your purchases to be paid later.
Me inside the Clay Sauna degree Celsius (°C)
My favorite part was this — the ICE ROOM! After sessions inside what felt like ovens, I was thrilled to get in what seemed like a fridge.
From 73 degrees to -15, woohoo!
Me Inside the ICE Room :D
Review of Lasema Spa and Sauna (5 as highest, 1 as the lowest):
Accessibility/Location: 4 – The location in Makati is excellent! Take the LRT or MRT and it’s a bus away from the station.
Ambiance/Staff: 4 – The staff that we saw all throughout our stay were cheerful and polite except for the receptionist during night shift who looked bored and it felt to me like she just wanted to finish her shift, at least show a smile to the customers please.
Amenities: 4 - It was not my first time in a jjimjilbang so I did not have any problems but the concept is very new to Filipinos so guides would be a big help. They are starting to attract Filipino patrons so it might help to also add Filipino or English magazines in the common room. I also hope they could improve the prices of the food in the snack bar – way too expensive! Other than that, commendable maintenance of the jjimjilbang!
Price: 3.5 – The price we got for the voucher was a good deal, though I couldn’t really say the same if we got it for the regular price of P 900. One could still avail of the services if you like to avail them separately.
I totally enjoyed our stay here and I am so happy that jjimjilbang is here in the Philippines! It is one of those places in Manila where you could just be yourself in those baggy clothes, relax and pamper yourself without the stress of the city’s pollution. Can’t wait to come back!
